The Quality Engineer directly reports to the Manager Quality and Safety and has the functional authority in the enforcement of all Quality requirements in accordance with the established procedures and current CAAS SAR – 145. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Upkeeping of Quality Management System as per relevant airworthiness and Customer requirements as stated in their approved manual
Performing surveillance on the approved organisation, its facilities or other agent facilities to ensure that company and regulatory standards are maintained
Auditing of the implemented positive actions resulting from the investigation of mechanical irregularities, accidents and incidents pertaining to Customer’s aircraft component serviced by the vendors to prevent recurrence of such incidents
Establishing annual audit plan and preparing of external audits
Ensuring quality reports are regularly submitted on time and quality reviews of organisation’s manuals are performed as scheduled
Ensuring timely responses to regulatory authority’s and Customer’s audit findings
Liaising with representatives of authority, Customer and other parties that have concerns on quality related issues
Ensuring that all activities, processes and people qualifications strictly adhere to airworthiness requirements
Ensuring the approved organisation is prepared for external audits and that the annual audit plan is adhered to
Presenting to Management quality issues that need to be addressed immediately
Keeping current with industry and aircraft developments as they pertain to a new aircraft or improved inspection techniques and maintenance practices
